Shackell Edwards gets a new leader
Grant Penfield, who recently re-entered the ink market with the launch of Druckfarben, has now joined forces with Shackell Edwards, a member of the Trimite Group.
Grant Penfield takes on the position of Managing Director of the highly respected Stockport based ink manufacturer, Shackell Edwards, and has acquired equity in the company.
“I am extremely excited to be heading up Shackell – the company has an excellent pedigree and a very professional and competent operational and technical support team. With the combined strengths of Shackell’s manufacturing capability, Druckfarben’s product range, nationwide customer support and a strong and stable industrial partner in Trimite, I am confident we will have a significant impact in the commercial marketplace,” explained Grant Penfield. “My plans include providing customers with a comprehensive range of world class products with the best service support in the business,” Penfield added.
David Roberts, CEO of Trimite Group explained: “When the new team took over the reigns of Trimite earlier in 2007 we recognised the strengths of Shackell Edwards, particularly in product quality, customer service and workforce expertise. Grant Penfield has 25 years’ industry experience. He formed Stehlin Hostag in 1983. By 2001 he had grown the business to £30m when he sold a majority stake to Huber.
